Double for Gethings on final day of Welsh Racing Festival

Jockey Ciaran Gethings landed an impressive double on the third and final day of the DragonBet Welsh Racing Festival at Chepstow on Sunday.

The crowd was boosted by around 4,000 students courtesy of a Race Day Party organised by events business Invades, in which Arena Racing Company, owners of the racecourse, have a 50% stake.

Day two of Chepstow’s three-day DragonBet Welsh Racing Festival saw trainer Olly Murphy and jockey Sean Bowen repeat last year’s victory in the Wasdell Group Silver Trophy Handicap Hurdle (Class 1, Premier Handicap), this time with the 5yo gelding Daylatedollarshort.
